First working day

Me and Kyle got into work at 10, we opened up shop and helped the owners, Rafa and Laura to tidy the place up. I sweapt, hoovered and mopped every bit of floor and emptied + loaded the dishwasher. Kyle and I diced about 6 kilos of cabbage. The language barrier between ourselves, the other workers and customers is quite noticeable, but hand signals seem to be working well. There is another student working there at the moment too, I think she’s french so we also cant communicate with her, Id say she is also on an Erasmus type trip.

I bought an american football after work and got fish and chips with the lads, life good.

Day 2 in Malaga

My second day in Malaga was great even despite the weather. We were shown to our work placements and I was beaming when I got to see the lovely dog grooming salon and pet store that I’d be working in. My boss Silvia has two dogs of her own who she brings to the job and they truly brighten up my day. Getting to take care of dogs and animals in general is something I’ve always wanted to do and it made me look forward to start my work experience. Then afterwards me and one of the girls went out exploring the city and some shops, then we went to a nice little Italian place for dinner and sat near a lovely fire so we were warm despite the rain. Food was incredible x
