Today on my way to work, I ran into my 4th grade class walking through town with the teachers walking to their coach. They were going on a school trip I was not aware of. I followed along anyways and we ended up at some theatre.

On the way down to the place, a child got sick on the bus which then had all the other children gagging. We were only 5 minutes left away at the time so the driver just kept going.

Once the show started, I copped it was like a showcase for musical instruments worldwide with one man playing it and the orchestra in the background backing him up. It sounded unreal. The kids weren’t too interested with having to constantly ask them to be quiet or to stop messing.

The show lasted around 2 hours and afterwards the main fella of the show stood outside the building to get pictures with each school group. The child with autism in my class who i’ve been with all today took a liking to him a lot and even seem him as some celebrity. Once me and the child got a bit closer he lept at him and wrapped his arms around this guys chest. The child was balling. He thought he met his idol or something. After only 5 minutes of trying to get him off we went back to our coach.

For the rest of the school day the kids had their 45 minutes recess then an hour and reading and an hour of writing.

Yesterday we visited Alcazaba of Malaga. The story behind it is multi-cultural. Alcazaba was previously occupied by Phoenicians since around 600BC, remains of Phoenicians fortification wall have been under-covered there. The castle is interesting and worth a visit.

We also went on a hike that had a beautiful viewpoint.

Tuesday

We done the walk up the Alcazaba which was amazing. We were up there for sunset which made a nice background for these pictures. I considered myself a fit person until walking up the steep hill which made me have to stop so many times….

Day 7:

This is the only day on the trip that we have neither work or an activity booked, so I did not do much. I woke up at 2pm and spent the day doing washing, setting up my CAO application and relaxing.

Day 8:

On this day, work did not start until 9.15 so I got to have a lie in until half seven. In the school we were put into practical classes such as a life skills class where they learn how to clean and do projects, and classes where they were preparing for world peace day where they will have games for children. After work I went for lunch in the hotel across from the student accommodation. I had chicken quesadillas which were the best thing I’ve had for lunch since getting here. In the evening I went shopping in the town with some friends then had some food.

Day 9:

Arriving at work by 8.15am, we were met with other Erasmus students who came from France. They were in each class with us and we were showing them what we had learned. This took the whole working hours . After work, we went on a sunset hike and also had a tour of the castle in the city. After this I went to McDonald’s for dinner then went back to the accommodation and played uno in the cinema room.

This walk, although exhausting, was very fun and genuinely refreshing.

Think it’s safe to say majority was out of breath but, at the end of the day- it was very fun.

Along with the tour itself, i had a really good evening yesterday. Me siobhan and Hannah had a blast 🥳.

Sunset after hike

Pretty basic Day to start but had a nice surprise visit from my supervisors. I had McDonald’s for lunch and then after lunch in the school, every pupil had been practicing dancing for the last few weeks so they all came together to practice it together for the final show tomorrow for world peace day. I was then helping with there English again in class. After work I went to the supermarkets with a friend to get steaks for dinner and then stopped for an acai bowl on the way home. We then had to meet as a group for a tour of alcazaba and we walked up the hill for the sunset over the city . After we walked back to the accommodation and made dinner and chilled out for the evening playing uno
