Day Nine

Had a great day at my work experience loving the teachers and children and learning new skills and tasks every day . The teachers are very patient and supportive even with the language barrier. I Went to visit the Cathedral in Malaga and it was a fabulous experience. It was most definitely the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever been too and will definitely return x

We had yet another gorgeous icecream on the way home but still not finished tasting and testing 😂❤️

Day 10

Another day at work helping the team with the logistical information needed for Erasmus students coming from Ireland over the coming weeks. Today I identfied potential businesses around Malaga and created a shortlist for the staff to contact looking for work placements. In the evening a group of us visited the Picasso Musuem which was very interesting. On the way back to the accommodation we got some ice-cream!

Day 9

Today I discovered a great market on my way to work. I worked with the team to get information together for students coming from Ireland next week. On my way home I dropped into the market and bought myself a hot pulled pork sandwich “Bocadillo” and some cherries and strawberries, it was so delicious! I was quite tired so had a quiet evening in and ate the rest of the food I´d bought for lunch and watched a film in my room.

Day 8

Today I went to European Era for my workplacement. I was given some work to complete for students who will be coming from Ireland. It was interesting to see the work carried out by the company. On my way back to my accommodation, I took a walk along the beach and the port. I stopped for lunch at a cafe and watched some live music while I ate. That evening, the group met for a boat trip from the port which was lovely, everyone enjoyed it and it was nice to be with the whole group for an activity and to see how everyone was enjoying their Erasmus+ experience.

Day 7

Today we had a free day, so a few of us explored the city. We wanted to visit some of the museums but could not get tickets so we wandered down to the port. There was a market with lots of lovely things and on the way back there was a public space with a group doing tango. I took a seat in the cafe and watch for a while, it was wonderful! That evening we went for an indian meal.

Day 5

Today our tutors visited us at our work experience placement. There was a presentation by one of their volunteers and funders, Caixa Bank who support their activities. The initative encourages and supports people to start up their own enterprise/business which was very interesting. In the evening, I visited a famous rooftop bar, a local church and met some of the other students for a nice dinner.
