Today I finished the ornament picture frames entirely. It took me most of the morning because I accidentally soldered the frame on upside down but we fixed it 😅. Yesterday was a pretty quiet day in the shop, I spent the day soldering all the picture frames and getting them ready for the final touches. I also made progress on the soldering of the dog piece. After work I met everyone down at the sea and we went on a sunset boat trip!

Got to the shop early, as usual. It was a quiet day today, I spent my time preparing a few pieces to be soldered tomorrow. Once that was finished I worked away at the grinding machine to make sure the other pieces I am working on fit flush together. Today some of us visited the Picasso museum. It was one of the top things I wanted to visit on this trip and I absolutely loved it! We got there for 3 o’clock and because I booked the tickets online, we were let straight in!

Today was took a trip to Frigiliana and Nerja by coach. Frigiliana was so so beautiful, I could’ve stead there the whole day. We took a detour to caves near Nerja which were so amazing, then headed the rest of the way and I enjoyed cocktails and food with Louise before heading to the beach!

Today was the last day of our first week of work experience, it went by so fast. Today I was cutting glass (and my fingers). I’m making some picture frames for customers to buy! Headed out earlier than normal so I could spend my time looking at all the art supply stores I pass on the way to work! I’ll definitely be heading in here before we go home! 🎨 🖍

Made it to the shop early again! Was given some of the current project they are working on so I could help. Really nervous becasue they told me the glass was from 1730, but I was able to take the glass from the frame and clean it with few casualties *whew*

Headed to the stained glass shop for 10, got there 10 minutes early and was put straight to work. The guys are really nice and even bought me a can of coke while we were working away. I had an absolute blast and even got to keep what I made! Can’t wait for tomorrow!!
