First day on the job in Malaga.

Nicola, Teresa and Caroline – Dublin College Greenhills first Erasmus + Staff mobility trip

An early start to our first day shadowing teachers in Malaga. We visited a school in an area that has a concentration of education from primary to secondary, a music & arts academy for older students.

Amazingly most schools in the area are bilingual and Spanish and French are the dominant, with English coming in a slow third place. My Spanish is improving that’s to that Green Owl in Duolingo harassing me daily but I was grateful for my French as it bridged any communication gaps we had.

The elevator is designed like a Space rocket.
Murals adorn every possible space, mostly painted by parents or friends of the school

Recycling is very important in the school
Women’s literature in the library
Rosio our guide for the day, a teacher who specialises in AEN and runs the library in the school. Rosio lived in London previously and spoke fluent English.
