Today we learned about flashing the bios of the scooters which allows custom firmware to be ran on them, which allows the scooters to have certain abilities that it isn’t able to do stock such as remove limits on the speed limiter, use custom LEDs, switch region specific features, specific dynamic controls such as direct feedback (pulling the throttle and having instant torque – by default there is a slight delay in reaction from when you pull the throttle and the scooter going forward to mimic a “real” scooter engine) and lots of other stuff. After that I got to de-solder an entire faulty control unit for spare parts which I had never done before but was super fun but easy to do, this is *exactly* the sort of stuff I wanted to be able to learn. Later after work I stayed in and watched a movie on my laptop because I was sort of getting tired of being out everyday and just wanted to rest
